Check them out before you meet

Look out for red flags

If you decide to meet in person, let a friend in on your plans, including when and where you will be meeting, your date’s name and contact information and when you expect to return. Out of town meetings

Trust your instincts

Your gut feeling is your best safety gauge. If something feels “off” to you, it probably is. Take it as a valid signal and step back, change your plans to something more comfortable, or end contact.
